The Exorcism of Emily Rose is a 2005 American supernatural horror film based on the true story of Anneliese Michel, a young German woman who underwent a series of exorcisms in 1975 and died shortly after.
The film follows the story of Emily Rose (played by Jennifer Carpenter), a college student who begins to experience strange and disturbing symptoms. After being diagnosed with epilepsy, she is eventually referred to Father Moore (Tom Wilkinson), a Catholic priest who believes that she is possessed by a demon. With the help of a team of exorcists, Father Moore attempts to free Emily from the demon’s grip, but the process is long and difficult.
