However, Lotso’s true nature is revealed when he and his gang of henchmen terrorize the new toys, including Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the rest of Andy’s gang. Lotso’s tyrannical reign and the emotional turmoil he causes in the toys highlight the darker aspects of nostalgia and the fear of abandonment.
